Entrance and Introduction

Everything I am, everything I do and everything I am capable of being all speaks of God’s creation. I am His creation, created for life and living, created for purpose. It is in this way of thinking I feel everyone can express themselves creatively. God the All-Creator, made each of us in His image therefore implying that each of us can express ourselves creatively. The Bible expresses how each person was made uniquely for this purpose: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14-15)

For myself, this means drawing, writing, encouraging others, cooking, crafting and many other things that may peak my interest to dabble in. Although my creativity is found within the arts, other’s may be different, take for instance a Mathematics Teacher who has explained a formula and its workout in five different ways to a school student who just doesn’t quite understand the mathematics behind surveying for example. Or how a defense lawyer presents the case for their client in order to win. Creativity can be measured in different forms, and isn’t that the best?

Think about it, would you prefer to constantly compete with your spouse, best friend, co-workers, church peers, and so on; all these people who share your same skills, talents and passions. OR would you prefer to do your own thing, to encourage others? Personally, I think the latter sounds best, and thank you God above for designing us each so differently and uniquely.

As this blog is named “Finnish what you start.” My background is Finnish and I haven’t always been able to finish my projects, whether due to time restraints, other commitments or when I was younger, I was rather impatient. I have created this blog to encourage others to express their creativity. I will do so by sharing my stories and projects and if you feel inspired to replicate or use my projects as your own ideas for something please do so and email me at finnishwhatyoustart@gmail.com or post in the comments so I can see =)
Sometimes all that is needed is a spark, or idea;
who meets with talent to create the fun year.
