Tea-riffic Garland Memory
I was starring off the other morning with bub in my lap at
the furniture near the side door of our home. I was thinking about re-arranging
things to make life a bit easier and then started to look at all the little
odds and ends I would also need to relocate, when my eyes caught hold of
something. A pretty, little garland with different painted colour on each small
wooden teapot shape. This brought back a memory.
Before my Wedding, I didn’t want anything huge and although
there was some of the typical drama happening with the girls in my bridal party
I was still hoping for a ‘hens’ of some sort. I’m not a drinker so I was hoping
for something sweet and low-key. My Mum the great wonderful woman that she is,
organised with two of my bridesmaids, one being my cousin, a wonderful “Bridal High Tea
Party”. It was so amazing with all the effort that was put in. The games were so sweet
and themed to match. The girls were all told to wear something floral and the
decorations matched the same floral theme. There was sweet butterfly cut outs
of different papers flying about. And then there were these sweet, pretty,
little teapots painted in four different shades. The idea was each guest was to
write something encouraging for the Bride.
I had kept the little teapot keepsakes and wanted to make
them ‘shine’. So, I tied their small handles onto a long string of twine and
made a lovely little garland of it. Since it’s creation is has sat here on
this small, painted piece of furniture, as an interesting, decorative memory
holder.
I hope this has inspired your day and your creativity. See how easily creativity can bloom from anything. Have a great week and sorry for my slightly late post.
