Hello again,  Happy SPRING and September. I would say - pinch a punch... but that was yesterday =) My son absolutely LOVES putting things in my pockets. I have this mustard colour knitted tunic with big pockets towards the bottom hem. My son is often finding small books, cars, his socks or other random items to place inside my pockets. It could have started because I often carry my keys inside my pockets, and he tries to fish those out. So with all this pocket pinching I thought I would use up some left over scraps of fabric to make a pocket sorter. I used a long strip of denim. Something sturdy to keep the project together and allow it to hang and work accordingly later. Then I picked out two alternating colours of fabric to work well together. I had some left-over autumn looking cute fabric. And some Spot the dog left over pieces. You can use whatever you like. Hi Everyone! A couple months ago a friend of mine advised how he loves bread and butter pudding and he was learning to make it himself. I recall announcing how I detest bread and butter pudding. Funny enough, bring the time forward to current day and I felt it necessary to update my friend on how I made bread and butter pudding and ENJOYED it. Goodness me. It happened as a result of having a left-over crusty Vienna loaf that was just soooo good, but unfortunately my husband and I couldn’t eat that much bread and now the loaf was slowly going stale. What options did I have in order to not waste it? I wasn’t keen on making it into breadcrumbs as I so often do with other stale bread or bread crusts from when I make “voileipä kakku” (Sandwich Cake – that can be a post for another time. I am a BIG fan of the Warcraft merchandise. My husband and I play the World of Warcraft games, though haven’t been following the latest expansion with as much detail as the previous games. So, we had been preoccupied with some other games (to Blizzard’s horror) but thankfully Blizzard perked our interest when we heard of the re-release for the original classic World of Warcraft. Also known as “Vanilla WoW”. Once I heard about the re-release my actual response was “what? no way?!” So, this post is for my excitement toward the classic game! I had some many years ago (while, yes, being obsessed with the game) purchased from a seller on Etsy some warcraft photocopy prints made onto fabric. I had kept these over the years unsure of how to use them in a project. But when I heard about the definite release of Classic WoW, a project immediately came to mind. Hi All,  I hope this week's post can delight your taste-buds! For a long, long, long time I have loved almost any salad that has roasted pumpkin and walnuts in it!  I think they are just the most superb blend! YUMMY. For a while I use to make a salad with rocket and spinach leaves, roasted butternut pumpkin, walnuts and fried bacon pieces. For the dressing I would make it simple with mostly mayonnaise and some pepper and lemon juice added. I found this salad to be a great crowd pleaser at any event I attended where the host asked for a potluck dish.  In fact.. I often found that salad to be most popular among men, figure that. Must’ve been the bacon hahaha. For a few years I had forgotten about the just mentioned salad and instead started alternating other things with the flavour blend; to still include the roasted pumpkins and walnuts. That’s a must! Hi All, This is just a quick short post this time round. I wanted to update on the use of baby chains. Some may know the plastic chain links used for different Baby/Toddler play. Well I decided to take that idea and sew some links together. For this project I used different fabric scraps and sewed them together. Right sides in and leave one edge un-sewn so that you can turn the project right way round. Then tuck in the edge to give it a finished look and sew completely around the rectangle piece. Well, they don’t always been to be rectangles. I have made some square ones and just been creative with it. Some of the pieces I included ribbon pieces (refer to picture). Just make a variety of different pieces. Afterwards a few buttonholes (this can be done while on the sewing machine or by hand) and sew some buttons on.  Personally, I prefer to use (where possible) buttons that are a bit harder to get out of the buttonholes, rather than the standard round ones. Hi All, I was looking at one of the desks in the house recently. Thinking about how to re-organise some items on it. My craft desk – well – it is busy and messy in its own way. Most of the time rather neat but when I’m working on a project it’s like KABAM mess. My mess though. You know? When something is messy but makes sense to you? Yeah that’s my mess. But the desk in our bedroom. That is the one I like to do my quiet time at. Reading. Journaling. That kind of thing. On the desk there are two small shelving layers. It wasn’t enough for me, so I’ve added over time some other furniture pieces so I can stack more valuable things on the desk. Like I have this thin, but tall shelving box for my books. That way when I’m journaling, I can swap and change through various books. Also included is books of interest, motivation or just sweet little books I’ve received as gifts over the years are collected here. I’ve also got my little nick-nacks all over the table. Like my mo...
